Creators Need a Fair Digital Ecosystem

As we all know, the biggest platforms in Internet are either not or not properly paying for Creative Content.

GESAC a group of 33 of the largest authors’ societies in the European Union, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland that represents about 1 million creators and rights holders in the areas of music, audiovisual works, visual arts, and literary and dramatic works created an open letter to the president of the European Union, Jean-Claude Juncker.

In these letter GESAC called him to see to it that a fit-for-purpose copyright reform will be guaranteed: “One that will not tolerate an economic and legal loophole for free riders, or the perpetuation of unacceptable harm to creativity and economic growth in Europe”.
